Steve Simon to seek another term as Sec. of State

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon is running for fourth term next year.

The former Democratic state representative from St. Louis Park was first elected secretary of state in 2014. Simon says he’ll continue to fight the Trump administration over access to private voter data that he calls “federal election interference.”

Former Republican state lawmaker Tad Jude of Maple Grove plans to challenge Simon. Jude is the only Republican in the race thus far.
