WATERTOWN, S.D. (KFGO-KWAT) — A Sisseton woman was in Codington County Circuit Court Wednesday pleading guilty to Felony Child Abuse.
The charge against Brianna Lawrence stems from an incident last October, in which an infant in her care was found unresponsive.
It was later discovered the child had dangerously low glucose levels, and had been living in deplorable conditions.
Codington County State’s Attorney Alison Bakken says the child was resuscitated and is now living with a foster family in Sioux Falls.
Lawrence will be sentenced next month.
