WILLMAR, Minn. (KFGO-KWLM) – One man was arrested after standoff in Willmar early Saturday morning.
At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, a caller told Willmar Police they stopped at an apartment to pick up their child and were met by male individuals who threatened them with guns.
Police responded with a SWAT team . One adult male and four juveniles voluntarily left the apartment. A loudspeaker, drones, robots and non-lethal chemical munitions were used. Eventually, 18-year-old Trey Kirgiss from Willmar, was arrested.
Kirgiss is in the Kandiyohi County Jail for gang-related crime, second degree assault, threatening, and obstruction of legal process.
No one was injured.
