FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man has been sentenced to 32 years in federal prison for receiving materials that showed the sexual exploitation of minors.
Dustin Fredrickson, 37, pleaded guilty last November.
The US Attorney’s Office says hundreds of videos and images were recovered from Fredrickson’s phone. There were 373 videos and more than 770 photographs of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Some were as young as infants.
The activity was discovered after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force got a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that identified a Snapchat account associated with Fredrickson. Fredrickson had three prior convictions for having sexual contact with minors.
Judge Peter Welte also ordered Fredrickson to pay restitution of $18,000 to victims that were able to be identified.
The case was investigated by Fargo police, Homeland Security Investigations and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
