MINOT, N.D. (KFGO) — A suspect wanted on multiple felony charges was arrested in Minot Friday night after a brief pursuit in a stolen vehicle.
Minot Police located a stolen caravan around 9:00 p.m. in the 3100 block of 16th Street SW. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Terrance D. Covington of Natchez, Mississippi, was wanted in connection with charges from an incident on September 25 in Minot.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, Covington fled, leading to a short vehicle chase. The pursuit ended when the stolen van crashed into a tree near the UND Center for Family Medicine. Covington then tried to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers.
Covington has been charged with Armed Robbery, Domestic Violence – Serious Bodily Injury, Terrorizing, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle in the Commission of a Felony. He was taken to the Ward County Jail.
