DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (KFGO KVRR) – Charges have been filed against a man in Devils Lake who police say broke into the home of his ex-wife and demanded that she give him a shotgun and ammunition.
Joseph Gleason also threatened to kill himself according to the charging documents.
Police responded early Monday morning for a welfare check when officers heard gunshots.
Gleason is accused of pointing a gun through a window in the direction of a police officer. Police backed off and eventually left. He surrendered later in the day. Police found that Gleason had fired three shots through a door.
He’s been charged with terrorizing, reckless endangerment and burglary.
