CLAY COUNTY, Minn. (KFGO) – A Fargo man is in the Clay County Jail after a police pursuit on State Highway 9 that extended onto I-94.
Sheriff Mark Empting says it began at about 1:30 Friday afternoon when a Glyndon Police officer tried to stop the car on Highway 10, but the driver refused to pull over and headed south on Highway 9 reaching speeds of 95 mph.
The driver, identified as 36-year-old Shaun Montanari of Fargo, headed west on I-94 at speeds of 120 mph A state trooper deployed stop sticks near mile marker 10.
Montanari was arrested for felony fleeing and driving a stolen vehicle.
He was also wanted on warrants in North Dakota.
A woman who was with Montanari was given a ride to Moorhead. She will not face any charges.
