ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is looking into two more proposed health care system mergers.
Ellison says he’s reviewing mergers between Essentia Health and the Marshfield Clinic Health System, and between St. Luke’s Duluth and Aspirus Health Care in Wisconsin to evaluate the transactions’ compliance with state and federal law.
The AG’s office is hosting a public hearing on the proposed mergers on October 25th at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
A proposed merger between Fairview Health and South Dakota-based Sanford Health was delayed last spring before being cancelled in July.
