UPDATE
FARGO – (KFGO) – one person was killed after crashing into a drainage ditch in the 3300 block of 7th Avenue North in Fargo. He’s been identified as 31-year-old Robert Wagner, junior of Fargo.
Police responded Saturday around 9 a.m. after a vehicle was spotted partially submerged in a drainage ditch.
It appeared the vehicle went off the road at a high rate of speed, struck a light pole, vaulted over a concrete drainage ditch, and then crashed on the opposite side of the ditch before the vehicle ended up in the water. firefighters extricated Wagner but he died. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
This is the second fatality in north Fargo in less than 24 hours. On Friday afternoon, a 20-year-old man died after a head-on crash in the 600 block of 25th Street north. He was identified as Peyton Young, of Benson, Minnesota.
The State Patrol is investigating both crashes.

FARGO (KFGO) – One person is dead after crashing into the drainage ditch in the 3300 block of 7th Avenue North in Fargo.
Around 9:05 a.m. Saturday morning, Fargo Police responded to a report of an impacted traffic light pole and a vehicle in the drainage ditch.
According to the Fargo Police Department, it appears the vehicle hit the embankment at a high rate of speed and, after impact, washed downstream several yards.
Only one person was in the vehicle. The Fargo Fire Department extricated that person, who was dead.
