MINNEAPOLIS – The purchase of a major Minnesota beer distributor by a competitor is expected to result in 180 layoffs.
The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development was notified of the move coming up on May 30th.
Breakthru Beverage Group is purchasing JJ Taylor Distributing Company of Minnesota for an undisclosed price. State officials are saying Breakthru may be interested in rehiring most of the employees who are being laid off.
