UPDATE:
CASS COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and a deputy state fire marshal are investigating a fire that tore through a home south of Fargo Tuesday.
Sheriff Jesse Jahner says a man living there is hospitalized with burns that are serious but not life-threatening. A woman was able to escape safely from the burning house.
The fire was reported shortly before 4 pm east of Highway 81, near County Road 14. The house was a total loss.

HORACE, N.D. (KFGO) – A home south of Fargo has been destroyed by fire.
Cass County deputies and the Horace Fire Dept. responded to the blaze shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday east of Highway 81 near County Road 14.
The sheriff’s office later reported that one person was taken to a Fargo hospital, but did not have any information on their condition.
Horace fire crews were joined by Davenport, Kindred, and the West Fargo Rural Fire department. Sanford Ambulance, The Salvation Army and state patrol also responded.
KFGO News reporter Madison Quinn says smoke could be seen for miles at the height of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
