ST. PAUL, Minn. – A member of the Hells Angels motorcycle club will spend 14 years in federal prison for dealing large amounts of methamphetamine in Minnesota.
Prosecutors say 39-year-old Justin Schmitz of Minneapolis sold multiple pounds of high-purity meth to an undercover officer for six thousand dollars each. Schmitz pleaded guilty in August of 2020 and later escaped from a treatment center and fled to California.
He was a fugitive for nearly three months before being caught and sent back to Minnesota.
