GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Tornadoes in October are pretty rare this time of the year, but preliminary reports indicate two were reported in southeastern North Dakota on Wednesday, October 13th. One about five miles west of Stirum, North Dakota shortly before 4 p.m. and another touchdown around 5 p.m. two miles north of Wahpeton.
National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Kaiser tells KFGO News, there have been no reports of damage or injuries thus far.
There have now been four tornadoes in the region in less than a week. This past Saturday, two confirmed tornadoes were reported, one in Park Rapids, Minnesota, and another southeast of Lidgerwood, North Dakota.
