FARGO (KFGO) – A Fargo man was arrested for terrorizing after police crisis negotiators worked to get him to surrender after a threatening incident at a home at 1717 13 1/2 Street South. When officers eventually entered the house, 25-year-old Tristan Patrick Olson was not inside.
Police Sgt. Travis Moser says officers responded just after 2:30 a.m. Thurs. for a disturbance. Officers were told the man was destroying the inside of the house, dousing it with gasoline, and threatening to start a fire. Officers were able to get a woman and a young child out safely.
Neighboring homes were evacuated and natural gas was shut off to the home. Fire crews were standing by as a precaution.
At around 8:30, police went into the home and discovered that Olson was not there. He was located on 13th Ave., not far from the house. He was taken to a Fargo hospital to be medically cleared before he was booked into the Cass County Jail.
There were no injuries.
