FARGO (KFGO) – Hundreds of Black Lives Matter protestors gathered at Island Park in response to a potential White Lives Matter protest.
The Black Lives Matter protest began at about 12p.m. Sunday. They gathered around the Island Park Pool then marched to Fargo City Hall. On Friday, there was report that a White Lives Matter protest would be at Fargo City Hall at 1p.m. but no protesters were there.
Fargo Police posted on Facebook saying, “There are protesters marching in the roadway in Downtown. If you are or need to travel in the area this afternoon please be cautious and take alternate routes if possible.”
There were no arrests and Fargo Police patrolled the area during the protest.
