MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – The Vikings’ hopes to get to .500 just got a little tougher.
The team placed Adam Thielen, whose 11 touchdown receptions currently leads the NFL, on their reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Thielen will have to test negative throughout the week to have a chance of playing Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
A two-time pro bowl selection, Thielen is coming off his best game of the season after catching 8 of 11 attempts for 123 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings’ 31-28 loss to the Cowboys.
Minnesota is 4-6 and is two games behind the Arizona Cardinals for the seventh and final spot in the NFC playoffs.
