FARGO, N.D. – The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes 8-7 in 11 innings on Sunday from Newman Outdoor Field.
Trey Hair delivered the walk-off RBI double, as Drew Ward scored from second base and the RedHawks improved to 1-2 on the year.
Hair drove in the final 4 runs of the game for the RedHawks. He hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning and drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to tie the game at 7.
RedHawks starting pitcher Ryan Williams went 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits, 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.
Hair finished 3-4 with 4 RBI, 1 run scored and 2 walks.
Logan Hill finished 2-4 with a two-run homer in the fifth inning as the Goldeyes dropped to 2-1 overall.
