DICKINSON, ND (KFGO AM) -- Dickinson Police have arrested the principal of Trinity High School in connection with a fire that broke out at the school early Monday morning.
The fire heavily damaged the office area and the floor of the library above.
Police questioned 30-year-old Thomas Sander in the morning and then took him into custody.
He faces charges of arson and endangerment by fire.
The fire forced the cancellation of classes for the week and the Region 7 Basketball Tournament had to be moved to Dickinson High School.
A church official says the school will remain closed for the rest of the year, and students will resume classes Monday in Dickinson Public School buildings.
Trinity faculty and staff will meet today to discuss the logistics.
