Fargo (KFGO-AM) The site selection committee working on recommending a site for a new Fargo City Hall has delayed a decision until next week. Thursday. they heard consulting architect Richard Moorhead give a run-down of the pro's and con's of each of the 5 sites under consideration. Several are considered small, with limited parking space. The committee seems to favor the four block area now occuppied by the current city hall.
City Adminstrator Pat Zavoral says a final decision on the new site and other details will be left up to a yet-to-be named building committee picked by city commissioners. He hopes that can be done this fall.
City leaders say the current city hall is decades old, cramped and faces some major infrastructure issues. The cost of a new city hall is put at $8 to $12 million.
