MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- An unusual criminal case in Clay County, where a woman has been charged with felony bigamy.
Court documents say 38-year-old Penny Lynn Fick had already been married in New Mexico when she married a man in Moorhead.
An affidavit says Fick and her fiance had applied for a Minnesota marriage license in Otter Tail County.
Clay County Attorney Brian Melton says bigamy charges are extremely rare. Melton says he can't recall the last time he prosecuted a similar case.
If convicted, Fick could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
