BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- North Dakota's congressional delegation says more airports in the state are getting federal grants for construction projects and other improvements.
The Federal Aviation Administration is giving a total of about $1 million to nine airports.
The Bowman County Airport Authority is getting the biggest chunk -- $4.6 million to build a new airport to help meet the aviation demand in the western oil patch.
The Bismarck airport is getting $2.3 million and the Dickinson Airport $1.9 million for various upgrades.
Airports in Oakes, Tioga, Watford City, Casselton, Cavalier and Linton also are getting grants.
