Guantanamo Bay

FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- About 30 North Dakota National Guard soldiers who spent the last 10 months in Cuba are returning home. A ceremony for the members of the 191st Military Police Company was held at 2 p.m. Sunday inside the Fargo Air Museum. The soldiers worked alongside other U.S. security forces in Guantanamo Bay to provide security and support for the detention camp.

Several of them will be recognized Sunday for serving two or more deployments. The company was commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Mark Tibor of Bismarck.

Major William Nels of Surrey served as deputy commander.
