FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Charges have been filed in connection with the August accident that critically injured Fargo Davies High School senior Lexi Bolstad.
A police report obtained by KFGO News says the electric car involved in the accident was not properly licensed, or insured. Lt. Joel Vettel says city prosecutors have filed two counts against vehicle owner Jesse Craig of Fargo.
A five-page accident report says Lexi was hanging off the side of the GEM car, waving an arm and yelling when she lost her footing and fell on her back--striking her head on the pavement. A witness told police that the car appeared to be traveling very fast through a roundabout, but there were no other signs of negligence.
Lexi is recovering at a hospital in Colorado. Her father has said he expects her to make a full recovery.
