FARGO (KFGO-AM) - Fans and former colleagues are remembering pro wrestling legend Mad Dog Vachon. The Canadian-born Vachon, who spent decades entertaining millions, died Thursday at age 84.
KFGO News spoke with one of Vachon's closest friends, retired pro wrestler Baron von Raschke. “In person he was a great guy, a great guest in your house. He was very, very innovative. He had a great mind for the wrestling business, he loved the wrestling business. He was just a really, really, good friend to me.” Von Raschke said.
For several years, von Raschke and Vachon wrestled as tag-team partners for the Minneapolis-based A-W-A.
Von Raschke is now retired and lives in Hastings, Minn.
