SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The first major snowfall for the season is in the forecast for parts of southeast South Dakota.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory from Tuesday morning until midnight.

It covers Moody, McCook, Minnehaha, Hutchinson, Turner, Lincoln, Bon Homme, Yankton and Clay counties.

Forecasters say 3 to 5 inches of snow is possible. It's expected to start falling late Tuesday morning and cause slippery driving conditions in the afternoon.

Winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected.
