FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Former Fargo South Bruin standout, Laura Roesler, has had an incredible month of June. It began with the NCAA Championships in Oregon where Roesler took 2nd with her personal best time of 2:00.98 and continued this past weekend at the USA Track and Field Championships where she again set a new lifetime best with a time of 2:00.23, placing 5th. Now to enhance her already astounding resume, Roesler has added the Dakota Award to not only her summer but also career highlights. The North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NDAPSSA) voted to give the 2013 Dakota Award solely to Laura. The award honors North Dakota natives who excel in sports outside of the state.
