ST. PAUL, MN -- In a back-and-forth game, Saints’ 3B Brad Boyer had the last word, smacking a walk-off home run to beat the RedHawks 8-7. The RedHawks jumped out to a 2-0 lead before St. Paul took the lead with a six-run fourth inning. With the score tied at two, SS Joey Becker drove in two runs with a single and Boyer followed with a two-RBI double. Becker finished 4-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. Fargo-Moorhead 1B Keith Brachold nearly willed the RedHawks to a win with a fifth-inning three-run home run and a sixth-inning RBI walk, but a Becker RBI double in the bottom of the sixth tied the game at seven, setting up Boyer’s heroics. Saints’ relief pitcher Matt Meyer picked up the win, throwing two scoreless innings in relief. The RedHawks and Saints wrap up their series tonight at Midway Stadium.
