FARGO (KFGO-AM) - A standout linebacker for the NDSU football team has been charged with aggravated assault. Travis Beck of Munich, North Dakota was arrested outside a downtown Fargo bar early Sunday morning.
Fargo police say Beck got into a confrontation in the 600-block of NP Avenue. When police arrived, the 24 year-old male victim had been struck several times in the head and appeared to be unconscious.
Beck was named the most valuable player in the 2011 football championship subdivision title game.
Bison head coach Craig Bohl says Beck has been suspended indefinitely.
