Former South Bruin in the Spotlight Again

FARGO, N.D. (KFGO AM) -- Former Fargo South Bruin track and field standout Laura Roesler is no stranger to the spotlight. This week, Roesler will be competing in the NCAA Outdoor Championships in her new back yard of Eugene, Oregon. It has already been a successful junior year for Roesler as she won the 800M for the 2nd straight season at the PAC 12 Championships and posted her personal best in the event at the Mt. SAC Relays, with a time of 2:01.76. Roesler is also part of the nation's top 1600M relay team. For Roesler it has already been a busy week as she is taking her mid term finals at school. Her track and field test begins tonight when the semi finals of the Women's 800M run kicks off at 6:30 PM Central Time. Roesler's competition will come primarily from LSU's Natoya Goule, who owns the fastest time in the country this season, and Charlene Lipsey, also from LSU. The NCAA Championships will be broadcasted on ESPN3 and ESPNU.
