FARGO, ND (KFGO NEWS) -- The Downtown Fargo Street Fair continues today. over the three day festival 120,000 - 140,000 people are expected.
There are some 285 vendors set up for the 38th annual event.
The event has gone "green" this year.
Minnkota Recycling has set up recycling canisters throughout the street fair to help keep unnecessary waste out of landfills.
Thanks to a partnership with the City of Fargo, vendors and artists will also have an opportunity to recycle cardboard which is a major source of the waste from the event.
Matbus is also helping to reduce fuel emissions by providing service for a discounted fare of $1 today and free fare tomorrow, the final day.
Also new this year is a breastfeeding station sponsored by Sanford Women's to provide a convenient and comfortable place for mothers to breastfeed, change their babies and re-hydrate.
The tent is located on the corner of Broadway & 3rd Avenue and open all hours of the street fair.
Since heat is also a concern for visitors to the street fair, Scheels has provided a misting tent to cool off.
