Lots of water and an aggressive fish management program are paying off for anglers. The North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports record sales of fishing licenses last year and an official expects 2013 sales could be higher yet.
Fisheries Chief Greg Power says good fishing not only good for anglers but for businesses that cater to fishing.
Power says license sales topped 218,000. He says more impressive is sales were spread throughout the state and not just in the rapidly growing counties in oil country.
