MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) -- A domestic dispute in Moorhead sent three people to the hospital early Saturday. One of those hurt is believed responsible for injuring the other two.
Police Lt. Tory Jacobson says Griselda Rodriguez, 26, of Glyndon, suffered a puncture wound to the back after being hit with a tire iron/pump jack handle. Victor Martinez, 21, of Eagle Pass, Texas, who tried to intervene was stabbed in the upper torso three times with a serrated steak knife. Both underwent surgery and are expected to survive.
The suspect, Angel Maldonado Jr., 24, of Glyndon, was knocked out. He's under police guard until he's released from the hospital and transported to jail. Police say he's facing attempted murder and other charges.
The fight took place at 3025 16th Ave. S. just after 2:30 a.m.
