FARGO (KFGO-AM) - An attorney who's defending Richland County in a federal civil rights lawsuit has filed court documents asking that the case be dismissed.
As KFGO News first reported, three men claim they were injured when two deputies used excessive force during a traffic stop in Abercrombie.
In court documents, defense attorney Corey Quinton of Moorhead says the plaintiff's are exaggerating their damages. Quinton says the deputies' conduct did not constitute any negligent, careless, or intentional act prohibited by law.
The three men are seeking unspecified damages for mental anguish, pain and suffering.
