Delayed mosquito spraying to resume weather permitting

Cass County Vector Control hopes to get "at it" tonight.

Fargo, ND.  (KFGO News) -- Little or no wind Monday night forced crews to postpone ground spraying in Fargo, West Fargo and Kindred. A slight breeze is required to allow the chemical to disperse.

Vector Control's Ben Prather says hot weather and a lot of rain has produced a big batch of mosquitoes

He says at least four different types of mosquitoes have started showing up in traps. Porter anticipating this is the first of many nights of control efforts.

Weather permitting, Vector Control will start ground spraying around 8:30 tonight.

Moorhead did spray Monday night. City spokesman Larry Anderson says he expects additional ground spraying will occur Wednesday night.
