FARGO, ND (KFGO AM) -- North Dakota law officers want you to know that new state gun laws are less restrictive.
Under a new state law, it's now legal to carry unloaded handguns openly, during daylight hours.
The law shoots down any local ordinances that are more restrictive, like one in Fargo, which required guns to be concealed.
Fargo police talked about the new law with community members.
They say it change how they are responding to gun calls.
If you are a private business owner, you have the right to have more restrictive firearm policies on your property.
