Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) A North Dakota woman is accused of lying to investigators about a stabbing on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation.
Chantel Monteith, of Grand Forks, is charged in Federal Court with false statements. She has pleaded guilty.
Authorities say the 24-year-old Monteith claimed that the victim was stabbed by an unknown assailant during the may 2011 incident, when she knew what happened.
A trial date has not been scheduled.
Associated Press
