(Teaneck, NJ) - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's job approval rating surged after Hurricane Sandy. That's according to Fairleigh Dickinson University's PublicMind survey.

The report finds before Sandy, 56-percent of voters approved of their Governor's job performance. When the same voters  were re-contacted after the storm, the number rose to 77-percent.

The Republican Governor's largest increase came from an unlikely source of  Democrats. Before Sandy, only 26-percent of Democrats approved of the job Christie was doing, but that number rose to 67-percent in the days after the historic storm.
