I lose track of how many "Tom Wynn and Friends" parties I've participated in over the years but even though it fell on Friday the 13th this year, there was no bad luck to be found. People waiting treats as usual were lined up way before the doors opened at 6 am with most in their quest to meet the KFGO staff, fine music, great treats, and of course that coveted coffee mug.
It really is nice to meet and greet the people who have helped make KFGO the highly successful radio station it is today and over all these years.
Duke Wright the owner of our company, Midwest Communications, was here for the party with his charming wife Pegge, She's originally from Lisbon and was greeted by a number of family and friends who knew she was in town.
On a sad note,we lost Larry Ristvedt a few weeks ago, and I just can't help but feel a little hole in my heart nowt he's gone.
For all who came, it was a great time. For those who didn't, try to make it next year...you don't know the fun you missed.
