Back in1957 the BBC had a broadcast that there was a bumper crop of spaghetti in Switzerland. The show was called Panorama and it's highly respected anchor Richard Dimbleby went along with the spoof that has gone down in history as one of the best April Fool's jokes of all time. People were calling the BBC asking where to get a Spaghetti Tree. Callers were told to put a sprig of spaghetti in tomato sauce and hope for the best.
From April 1st 1957, the Great Swiss Spaghetti Harvest Hoax. Enjoy!
