I just got off the phone with Jolene Stubbs of El Paso, Texas, who flew to Fargo last week to look for her 16-year-old son Edward Stubbs. Edward Stubbs is missing and believed to be in the Fargo-Moorhead area. His family hasn't heard from him since June 20.
Jolene said Edward is still missing. She and her family and friends are willing to offer a $2,000 reward to anyone who gives information leading to the family finding Edward.
"I really need to find him," she said.
Edward was working construction in Dickinson, N.D., for the summer. He stopped by his cousin's house in Fargo briefly before he vanished.
Edward is described as thin, 5-foot-10 with strawberry blonde hair. He often wears a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up.
Jolene said she's followed more than a dozen tips or leads about Edward's possible location, including tips from people at West Acres Mall and photos from banks.
"I've been going on a lot of leads that people think might be him, but we haven't found him yet," Jolene said. "I've been going on a lot of wild goose chases."
Jolene said the response from the Fargo-Moorhead community has been overwhelming and she is appreciative of whatever tips she gets, even if they don't pan out.
