Rock 102 returns; conservative talk out

by Mike McFeely

A press release from my bosses at Midwest Radio of Fargo-Moorhead (Midwest Communications, Inc.) announces the return of classic rock station Rock 102, which will replace conservative talker Talk 101.9 FM ...............

On March 18, 2012, unscrupulous forces pulled the plug on what Fargo, Moorhead once knew as Rock 102.

Despite the adamant protests of Rock 102's passionate fans, including the creation of a "Bring Back Rock 102" Facebook page, ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bring-Rock-102-back/274874105925496 )  Rock 102 entered a year and a half period of conservative talk programming which will be forever referred to as "in Limbaugh".

Midwest Radio of Fargo Moorhead (Midwest Communications, Inc.) owner of KRWK, 101.9 FM, is pleased to announce that Sunday, September 8, 2013, at 3:58 p.m., Rock 102 proudly Rocks once more!

2,000 Classic Rock songs in a row, without commercial interruption, began at the end of the Minnesota Vikings post game show.   The continuous Rock will play until theSeptember 15 Vikings' kickoff.

Monday, September 16, the Rock 102 morning program returns, featuring Scotch, Tank and Lucy.   Rock 102 will continue to be your FM radio home for NDSU Bison Football and the Minnesota Vikings.
