Country covers of AC/DC songs = excellent

by Mike McFeely

As usual, I'm behind the curve.

Some people here at KFGO told me of a country band that does covers of heavy metal songs, such as AC/DC's "Highway to Hell," Aerosmith's "Walk This Way" and many others.

So I did the Google thing. The band's name is Hayseed Dixie and there is a whole slew of cover songs available to listening/viewing on YouTube. The band first got some radio play in the early 2000s, so it's been around awhile.

Here's a sample, which I got a great kick out of. It's AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long."

Here's the Wiki bio of Hayseed Dixie (originally called AC/Dixie before lawyers go involved). Click here to read it.
